Important

Paid membership is not available

CricZone is not selling memberships. No payment provider is connected to this site, no card can be taken, and nobody can be charged. If you are asked for payment anywhere claiming to be CricZone membership, it is not us.

This page exists so that the answer is on the record rather than absent. It is not a subscription contract, because there is no subscription to contract about.

What you can have today, at no cost

A free CricZone account gives you:

  • somewhere to save stories and come back to them
  • the teams and players you follow, and a feed built from them
  • the daily newsletter, if you want it
  • a list of the devices signed in to your account, and a way to sign them out

All of the journalism on CricZone is free to read, with or without an account.

What happens if membership opens

If CricZone begins selling memberships, this page is replaced by the actual membership contract before anything can be bought. That contract will state the price, what a membership includes, when it renews, how to cancel, and what happens to a membership that is cancelled part way through a period.

It will be published here with a version number and the date it takes effect, in the same way as every other policy on this site.

You will never be charged for something you have not chosen. A free account does not become a paid one.

Your consumer rights

If you ever do buy a membership from CricZone, the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law apply to it as a service: it must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for the purpose it was sold for, and be supplied within a reasonable time.

Important

These rights cannot be taken away

Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or modifies any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where anything here appears to, the law applies and this page does not.

Questions

Write to us through the contact form and choose the Membership desk. Every message gets a reference and an answer in writing.

Register for the CricZone letter

CricZone does not send a newsletter yet. This is a register of interest: leave your address and it goes on the list a first letter would be written for.

Your address is kept for this and nothing else, and it is never passed on. Ask us through the contact form and we will take it off the list.
