About Amanda-Jade Wellington
Amanda-Jade Wellington is an Australian leg-break bowler who plays for the South Australian Scorpions and the Adelaide Strikers. She taught herself to bowl leg spin in her backyard and made her Women's National Cricket League debut in 2012 at fifteen years and 150 days, the youngest person to represent South Australia in a senior match and a record previously held by Clem Hill. Wellington took a wicket with her first ball in international cricket, in November 2016, and in November 2021 took five for eight, at the time the best figures recorded in the Women's Big Bash League.
