Azmatullah Omarzai is an Afghan all-rounder, a right-handed batter and right-arm fast-medium bowler, who comes from the Nurgal district of Kunar province in eastern Afghanistan. He took up cricket at fourteen and played for Afghanistan at the 2018 Under-19 World Cup before making his One Day International debut against Ireland in January 2021. Omarzai was part of the Afghanistan squad at the 2023 World Cup, and was named the ICC Men's One Day International Cricketer of the Year at the 2024 ICC Awards.
