About Belinda Vakarewa

Belinda Vakarewa is an Australian fast bowler from Griffith in New South Wales who came to cricket at ten, having grown up in a Fijian family playing rugby. She joined the Sydney Thunder for the first Women's Big Bash League season and played in the final the club won. Vakarewa made her only appearance for Australia at the 2017 World Cup, against Sri Lanka. She later moved to Tasmania and the Hobart Hurricanes, where a strong fifth Women's Big Bash League season brought selection in the tournament team and her club's most valuable player award.
