About Mohammad Babar Azam

Babar Azam is a Pakistani right-handed top-order batter and a former captain of Pakistan in all three formats. He grew up in the Walled City of Lahore, was a ball boy at the Gaddafi Stadium before joining a cricket academy, and came to the game through his older cousins Kamran and Umar Akmal. Azam made his one-day international debut against Zimbabwe in May 2015, scoring a half-century, and was part of the Pakistan side that won the Champions Trophy in 2017.
