About Peter George

Peter George is a former Australian fast-medium bowler who played first-class cricket for South Australia and then Queensland before retiring at the end of the 2019 season. At 203 centimetres he was among the tallest players in Australian domestic cricket, and his style drew comparisons with Glenn McGrath. He toured with the Australian Test squad in 2010 and played his only Test against India at Bangalore, taking two wickets. George holds the best bowling figures recorded at Bellerive Oval, eight for 84.
