About Wanindu Hasaranga
Wanindu Hasaranga is a Sri Lankan all-rounder who bowls right-arm leg spin and bats right-handed. He was educated at Richmond College in Galle, where he began as a seam bowler and switched to leg spin at sixteen after a demonstration by his school coach. Hasaranga played at the 2016 Under-19 World Cup and was named Sri Lanka Cricket's most promising domestic player for the following season. He took a hat-trick on his One Day International debut, the first Sri Lankan to do so, and took the first hat-trick by a Sri Lankan at a men's T20 World Cup, in 2021.
