About Denmark
Denmark are organised by the Danish Cricket Federation and have been an associate member of the International Cricket Council since 1966. Cricket has been played in the country since the middle of the nineteenth century, the first club having been formed in 1865 by English railway engineers, and the national side played its first match in 1954 against Oxford University. Denmark reached the semi-finals of the first ICC Trophy in 1979 and finished third in 1986. Ole Mortensen became the first Danish player to appear in county cricket in 1983.
