About France

France are organised by the French Cricket Association, which was formed in 1987 and became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council that year and an associate member in 1998. A French team won the silver medal in the cricket competition at the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris, the only time the sport has been played at the Olympics, although the side was made up mostly of British residents of the city. The first documented match in France was played in the Bois de Boulogne in 1864. France won the European Nations Cup in 1997.
