The Melbourne Stars are a women's Twenty20 franchise in the Women's Big Bash League, based in Melbourne. The club was one of the league's eight founding teams in 2015 and is one of two Melbourne sides in the competition, alongside the Melbourne Renegades. The Stars finished the WBBL|06 regular season as minor premiers and were runners-up in that season's final. The side is aligned with the men's Big Bash League club of the same name.
