About Scotland Women
Scotland are organised by Cricket Scotland, an associate member of the International Cricket Council. The side played in the first international women's cricket match, against England at New Road in Worcester in August 1932, four of whose Scottish players later appeared in Tests for England. A Scottish team was not raised again until 1979, and regular competition began only in 2000. Scotland made their tournament debut at the 2001 European Championship, were granted One Day International status in 2022 and reached the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup, their first global tournament.
