About South Africa Women
South Africa Women are organised by Cricket South Africa and are known as the Proteas. The side made its Test debut against England in 1960, the fourth team to play at that level, and played no international cricket between 1972 and 1997 during the sporting boycott. It returned in August 1997 with a one-day international against Ireland and has appeared at every World Cup since. South Africa reached the Women's T20 World Cup finals of 2023 and 2024.
