About Tanzania Women
Tanzania are organised by the Tanzania Cricket Association, which introduced a modified form of the game for girls into primary schools in 1999 and created a national under-15 side in 2002. The association hosted the first African women's championship in 2004, which Tanzania won without losing a match, beating Uganda in the final, and the side finished as runners-up in 2006 and 2011. Tanzania were invited to the ASEAN women's tournament in 2018 and finished second to the hosts, Thailand. The team has not yet qualified for a global tournament.
