West Indies Women are a combined Caribbean side and are known as the Windies. The team made its Test debut in 1976 and its one-day international debut in 1979, almost fifty years after the men's side began playing Tests. Women's cricket in the region was organised by a federation founded in 1973, which merged with the regional board in 2004. The side reached the Women's Cricket World Cup final in 2013.
