Bangladesh HP name squad for Top End T20 Series in Darwin

Dhaka, 11 August 2026:
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced a 15-member Bangladesh High Performance squad for the 2026 Study Northern Territory Top End T20 Series, scheduled to be played in Darwin, Australia, from Aug. 21-30.
Wicketkeeper-batter Irfaan Shukkur will captain the Bangladesh HP side, which is scheduled to leave for Australia on Aug. 14 as part of its preparations for the 10-day Twenty20 tournament.
The Top End T20 Series will feature nine teams and 30 matches, with Bangladesh joining a competitive field that includes Victoria, Hobart Hurricanes, ACT Comets, HH Kingsmen, NT Strike, Nepal, New Zealand A and the Adelaide Strikers.
The tournament will provide Bangladesh’s emerging players with an opportunity to gain experience against a mixture of Australian domestic teams and international opposition in Darwin conditions.
The Top End T20 Series has increasingly attracted domestic and international development teams, giving players the opportunity to compete in a short, intensive tournament format.
Bangladesh HP squad: Irfaan Shukkur (captain), Habibur Rahman Sohan, Jishan Alam, SM Meherob Hasan, Samiun Basir Ratul, Sabbir Rahman Roman, Rohanat Doullah Borson, Rakibul Hasan, Ariful Islam, Abdul Gaffar Saqlain, Ripon Mondol, Md Rubel, Abu Hider Rony, Shamim Hossain and Mohammad Mrittunjoy Chowdhury.
