Marnus Labuschagne is an Australian right-handed batter, born in South Africa, who has captained Queensland and played county cricket for Glamorgan. He made his first-class debut in 2014. In August 2019 he became the first concussion substitute in a Test match, replacing Steve Smith, and went on to be the leading Test run-scorer of that calendar year. He was named ICC Men's Emerging Cricketer of the Year for 2019 and one of Wisden's Cricketers of the Year in 2020, and was part of the Australian sides that won the 2023 World Test Championship and the 2023 World Cup.
