About Nathan Lyon

Nathan Lyon is an Australian off-spin bowler and lower-order right-handed batter who has played domestic cricket for New South Wales. He made his Test debut in 2011 and passed Hugh Trumble's mark in 2015 to become the leading Test wicket-taker among Australian off-spinners. Lyon played his hundredth Test in January 2021, has been named in the ICC Test Team of the Year three times, won the Shane Warne Men's Test Player of the Year award in 2019 and 2024, and was part of the side that won the 2021 to 2023 World Test Championship.
