About Australia
Australia are one of the two oldest sides in Test cricket, having played and won the first Test match, against England in 1877. The side also took part in the first men's One Day International, in 1970-71, and the first men's Twenty20 International, in 2004-05. Players are drawn from the Sheffield Shield, the national one-day cup and the Big Bash League, and the team is operated by Cricket Australia. Australia won the men's World Cup in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015 and 2023, and the World Test Championship of 2021 to 2023.
