India are governed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India and hold Full Member status at the International Cricket Council. The side won the men's World Cup in 1983 and 2011, the T20 World Cup in 2007, 2024 and 2026, and the Champions Trophy in 2002, 2013 and 2025. India have reached the men's World Cup final four times, and finished as runners-up in the World Test Championship finals of 2021 and 2023.
