About Bangladesh
Bangladesh are administered by the Bangladesh Cricket Board and hold Full Member status at the International Cricket Council. The side joined the ICC as an associate in 1977 and won the ICC Trophy in 1997, which took them to their first World Cup two years later. A win over Pakistan at that tournament helped their case for promotion, and in June 2000 Bangladesh became the tenth Test-playing nation, playing their first Test against India in Dhaka that November. Their first Test win came against Zimbabwe in 2005.
