Brisbane, 11 October 2026: Georgia Voll struck a commanding unbeaten 131 as Australia Women cruised to a nine-wicket victory over Bangladesh Women in the second ODI at Allan Border Field on Sunday, sealing the three-match series with an unassailable 2-0 lead.

Chasing 221, Australia reached 222 for one in just 28.1 overs, with 131 balls to spare, as Voll and Phoebe Litchfield dismantled the Bangladesh bowling attack with an aggressive opening partnership.

Voll, named Player of the Match, struck 19 boundaries in her 97-ball innings, scoring at a strike rate of 135.05. Litchfield provided equally fluent support with 70 off 51 deliveries, including 11 fours and a six.

The pair added 162 runs for the opening wicket in just 19.5 overs, effectively removing any prospect of a Bangladesh comeback.

Australia raced to 82 without loss in the first 10 overs, a striking contrast to Bangladesh’s 17 for three at the same stage of their innings.

Voll reached her half-century from only 34 balls before completing her hundred from 81 deliveries. Litchfield brought up her fifty from 41 balls as the Australian openers maintained relentless pressure on the visitors.

Bangladesh finally broke the partnership when Shorna Akter dismissed Litchfield in the 20th over, but the breakthrough came too late to influence the result.

Ellyse Perry joined Voll and remained unbeaten on 19 from 22 balls as the pair completed the chase with an unbroken 60-run partnership.

Earlier, Bangladesh recovered from a disastrous start to post 220 for six after being sent in to bat.

Experienced seamer Megan Schutt tore through the top order, dismissing Fargana Hoque for a 13-ball duck before removing Sharmin Akhter, also without scoring.

Kim Garth trapped Sarmin Sultana lbw for five, leaving Bangladesh struggling at eight for three in the eighth over.

However, Sobhana Mostary and captain Nigar Sultana staged a remarkable recovery, combining for a 195-run fourth-wicket partnership that transformed the innings.

Mostary played the more attacking role, registering a career-defining 118 from 134 balls, including 18 boundaries. She reached her half-century from 66 deliveries and completed her hundred from 123 balls.

Nigar anchored the innings with an unbeaten 74 off 114 balls, striking seven fours and providing the stability Bangladesh desperately needed following their early collapse.

The partnership carried Bangladesh from eight for three to 203 before Schutt returned to dismiss Mostary in the 48th over.

Schutt finished as Australia’s standout bowler with four for 36 from 10 overs, including a maiden, while Garth returned economical figures of one for 35 from her full allocation.

Despite the substantial recovery, Bangladesh managed only 220, a total that proved insufficient against an Australian batting lineup in dominant form.

The difference in scoring rates highlighted the gulf between the sides. Bangladesh accumulated their runs at 4.40 per over, while Australia maintained 7.88 runs per over throughout the chase.

For Bangladesh, Mostary’s century and her partnership with Nigar were significant positives after the early batting collapse. However, their bowlers were unable to contain Australia's openers or create the sustained pressure needed to defend the total.

The victory gave Australia two more ICC Women’s Championship points and secured the series with one match remaining.
