Nielsen guides Adelaide Strikers Academy to seven-wicket win over Hyderabad Kingsmen

Darwin, 28 August 2026: Harry Nielsen struck an unbeaten 42 after Aubrey Stockdale led a disciplined bowling performance as Adelaide Strikers Academy cruised to a seven-wicket win over Hyderabad Kingsmen Academy in the Top End T20 Series on Friday.

Chasing just 93 for victory at Gardens Oval, Adelaide reached 96-3 in 11.5 overs, completing the win with 49 balls to spare.

Nielsen anchored the chase with 42 not out from 34 balls, hitting four boundaries. Jason Sangha added 23 off 17 balls and shared a useful partnership with Nielsen after Adelaide had slipped to 37-2. Jerrssis Wadia contributed a brisk 16 from 11 deliveries before Henry Hunt finished the match with an unbeaten 10 off five balls.

Earlier, Hyderabad elected to bat but never recovered from a poor start, losing three wickets for 18 inside the opening three overs. Captain Hammad Azam top-scored with 22 off 17 balls, while Ali Sheikh made 17 from 11 as Hyderabad was dismissed for 92 in 14.4 overs.

Stockdale was Adelaide’s leading bowler with 3-21 from three overs. Lachlan Bangs, Jerrssis Wadia and Waheguru Dhillon collected two wickets each as Hyderabad lost wickets at regular intervals.

The defeat was Hyderabad’s third in six matches and saw the Kingsmen slip from third to fifth in the standings.

Adelaide, meanwhile, recorded its fourth victory in five matches and climbed from fourth to second place, strengthening its position near the top of the table.
